[LSC-PREP] Oculus Schedule First Draft

Hi Julie,

Good point. We're assuming a 12-month development and delivery schedule for the moment. I agree it will be beneficial to be ready as soon as possible by March 2020, but that is contingent upon the hardware dev timeline. Once we have more fidelity there I'll update the schedule.

The good news is much of the other activities, SOC development, etc. can be done in parallel. We're assuming other proposers will be able to deliver in the March 2020 timeframe, which leaves NASA the option to stagger payload deliveries to December 2021 for later flights.

Also, it looks like the lander partners will be announced today, so we will know who's offering rides: https://www.space.com/42565-nasa-commercial-moon-partnerships-webcast.html

Hi Michael and all,

Obviously it depends on the hardware development timeline, and what is really possible, but would it be beneficial for us to have the instrument ready by March 2020, the earliest delivery date suggested in the AO? Or is April 24, really the earliest realistically possible? Or is that still TBD?

Thanks, this outline is very helpful!

Team - here's the first high-level draft of the Oculus mission schedule. I'll need some additional info from Rex on the anticipated instrument build time and will also add more tasks as well once we have greater fidelity. I've assumed a 3-month "hold" phase for now while we wait for manifestation with a spacecraft/launch. Comments welcome.
